Biography

Sybille de Bretagne

After studying Economics in Paris, I moved to London and had the opportunity to fullfill an old dream : learn the art of sculpting!

My great grand-mother was a renowned portraitist, my mother a talented painter from Les Beaux-Arts...My fringers were itching to get going from childhood.

In 2003, I joined a studio in west London and I have been driven by my desire to give life to raw material.

Being creative with your hands is a challenging and emotional process and being able to show the beauty of the human body, express lasciviousness or ephemeral movement, play symmetry or assymetry are the roots of my work.

With the yoga pieces, I have explored a sculpture that can be moved and played with matching the art lover mood of the day.
